The weather looked less than ideal to head into the White Mountains, so we stayed south and hiked two fire towers. BishopX did some research and read the Dearborn Trail had some sections of ledges, which would make it a bit more challenging so we choose to hike up that way to get to the summit of Green Mountain.
- Nestled in what looks like someone's backyard is a parking area for the Dearborn Trail. It is down a Class VI Road that is not town maintained, but it is in great shape. Our cars area bit low to the ground so we decided to just pull off the side of the actual town road and not risk getting stuck or bottoming out. It is in great shape though and it really is not something you need to worry about.
- The hike up to the summit is consistent. These small hikes that have to gain significant elevation in a short span of trail are no joke. There is nothing super challenging, but it is non-stop elevation gain.
- The ledges are kind of blink and you miss them. There are some sections that have granite ledge exposed for the width of the trail only.
- The view was spectacular and even though we expected to have no view, instead we were treated to a crystal clear view and some foliage just about to switch to past peak.
- There is a poorly maintained toilet on the summit as well as a picnic area. The fire warden also has a cabin.

The leaves and this sign are a bit deceiving, but the road is in good shape and any car should not have an issue. |

This sign is clearly broken and just leaning against a tree. Do not follow in the direction it is pointing and end up lost in the woods! |

| GPS cut out on the way up so the mileage is probably off. GPS track on the way down follows the trail. |
